Our bodies are an amazing, interconnected and constantly moving structure. Over time and for various reasons good movement can be compromised. Pilates not only highlights these faulty patterns, but also enables us to correct them so that we can achieve a better level of functional movement.

Pilates will challenge you to rethink the way you move, giving you more body awareness, helping you to build a more sustainable foundation for movement in sport and life in general.

Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation

Pilates works on balancing the body with the aim of promoting correct movement patterns. Setting the structure up well encourages efficiency and stability therefore reducing the chances of injury or re injury. Getting you back on track doing the things you love!

Mat Pilates

Pilates on the mat moves the body through a series of exercises with a focus on coordination, flow, and breath. Moving through different orientations in space also challenges our proprioception and strength creating a more dynamic stability where our bodies learn to adapt and respond to the movement we perform.

STUDIO Pilates

Working with the specialised spring system and the fixed arcs of the Pilates equipment we can give assistance where needed allowing the body to understand new movement strategies, we can also add resistance to build strength and control. This makes Studio sessions great for rehabilitation, injury prevention or sports specific activities. Working in the Studio is also great for preparing the body for the challenge of mat work which is fundamentally the purpose of the equipment, so don’t be surprised to spend some of your studio session on the mat.
